Personal Banker II - Olive Branch, MS

Job Description
The Personal Banker II ensures the customer’s needs are achieved by evaluating and recommending the most appropriate financial products and services to fulfill the customer’s financial needs. Incumbent is responsible for being knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of teller, opening deposit accounts and accepting loan applications.  This position is responsible for building and strengthening customer relationships by providing excellent   service and ensuring the customer’s needs are met by evaluating and recommending the most appropriate bank products and services, processing teller transactions, and serving as a concierge for the branch.
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains strong working relationships with internal and external customers and projects a positive and professional image of BankPlus; Assists with Loan functions in an accurate and efficient manner; Opens various deposit accounts and completes account servicing transactions, as requested by customer; Educates customers on emerging bank technology and digital solutions such as mobile and online banking; Sells and cross-sells bank products to new and established customers by assessing the customer’s needs and being knowledgeable of the features and benefits of the products; Interviews loan applicants and ensures the completion of an accurate consumer loan application and accepts customer paperwork for loan products; Completes various banking center functions, such as but not limited to :Processes check orders, closes customer accounts following established Bank procedures, processes wire transfer requests, issues stop payments and processes ACH returns, handles access to safe deposit box; Serves as a concierge for the branch and requires strong listening skills, customer service, and a positive and helpful attitude towards customers (internal and external); Serves in a cross-functional position by also rotating Teller functions to include teller transactions, issuing official checks, processing collection items, and/or other transactions according to BankPlus procedures; Supports BankPlus marketing efforts including volunteer support and engages in outside customer calls; Participates in the bank’s High-Rewards Connections Program and makes referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management; Participates in community activities that may generate new customer leads; Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
 

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 5 or more years of similar experience
General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
Perform other duties as requested
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary
Ability to handle multiple tasks
