Role Summary:
The Functional Lead Level 4 will be responsible for performing routine tasks in one or more functional roles to ensure necessary materials are processed to ensure that both internal and external customers’ orders are fulfilled and lead efforts to ensure Safety, Quality and Productivity.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Functional Lead Level 4, you will:
•Be responsible for one or more of the functional areas - Inbound, Supplier Recovery, Crating, Outbound, International, Inventory, Healthcare or Special Projects
•Drive productivity and ensure functional area meets business requirements on a daily basis
•Provide daily direction to employees within the assigned functional work area
•Ensure employees in functional work area are trained on components within the area
•Be the communication lead for function, responsible for answering & sending emails across multiple organizations – sourcing, fulfillment, planning, engineering as required to perform job tasks accurately
•Establish training time blocks and schedule to ensure functional work area employees attend required training
•Drive for safe, clean and organized working environment, be tour ready always
•Research, design and implement cost savings or cost avoidance projects
•Manage timing and compliance of employee’s lunch and breaks
•Ensure all documents are compliant with business policies and regulating agencies
•Train and Mentor employees on Functional SOPs and GE Beliefs
•All other duties as needed and / or assigned
•High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
•Ability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required
•Ability and willingness to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 35 pounds as required
•Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain certification to operate forklift, order picker, and/or reach truck
Desired Characteristics:
•Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
•Internal Candidates must be at Warehouse Technician Level 2 or above with a rating over 4.0
•Ability and willingness to read, write, and communicate in the English language
•Solid computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
•High attention to detail and accuracy
•Experience in receiving, stocking and shipping product to end customer
•Multitasking abilities to drive critical issues simultaneously
•Leadership experience, team lead, project lead, program lead, leading without authority
•Ability to lead, mentor and grow employees
•Prior experience with Oracle or Warehouse Management Software
•Hazardous Material Certification & Knowledge in DOT, IATA, IMDG, RCRA
•Advanced Computer Skills in Microsoft Suite including Access Databases
•Knowledge of international shipping documents and customs regulations
•Ability and willingness to work independently and in a team environment
•Ability and willingness to work with sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and order quality
•Crane rigging knowledge
