DeSoto County Master Gardener Training

Event Description
The DeSoto County Master Gardner program will offer a volunteer training program beginning Jan 10 and meeting every Tuesday for 10 weeks from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The training will cover basic botany, soils, fruits and nuts, propagation, landscape design, entomology, plant pathology, selection and care of ornamentals, herbs, lawn management and more. An orientation, including lunch, will be Jan. 10 with classes beginning Jan. 17. There will be no class on Mar. 13 for Spring Break. If interested, call Joy Anderson, Master Gardener coordinator, at the County Extension Office for an application and more information.
